The e-tron GT’s pre-crash front seatbelts will tighten automatically in the event the vehicle detects an impending crash, improving protection against injury significantly. The Emeya doesn’t offer pre-crash pretensioners.

For enhanced safety, the front seat shoulder belts of the Audi e-tron GT are height-adjustable to accommodate a wide variety of driver and passenger heights. A better fit can prevent injuries and the increased comfort also encourages passengers to buckle up. The Lotus Emeya doesn’t offer height-adjustable seat belts.

The Audi e-tron GT has standard driver and front passenger side knee airbags mounted low on the dashboard. These airbags help prevent the driver and front passenger from sliding under their seatbelts or the main frontal airbags; this keeps them better positioned during a collision for maximum protection. Knee airbags also help keep the legs from striking the dashboard, preventing knee and leg injuries in the case of a serious frontal collision. The Emeya doesn’t offer knee airbags.

Over 200 people are killed each year when backed over by motor vehicles. The e-tron GT Prestige/RS has a standard Maneuver Assist that uses rear sensors to monitor for objects to the rear and automatically applies the brakes to prevent a collision. The Emeya doesn’t offer automatic braking for stationary objects directly to the rear.

Both the e-tron GT and the Emeya have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, all wheel drive, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, post-collision automatic braking systems, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, around view monitors and rear cross-path warning.

The e-tron GT comes with a full 4-year/50,000-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire car. The Emeya’s 3-year/36,000-mile basic warranty expires 1 year or 14,000 miles sooner.

The e-tron GT comes with free roadside assistance for 4 years unlimited miles. Audi will send help if you run out of gas, need a jump-start, lock your keys in or need any assistance on the road. Lotus doesn’t give free roadside assistance for the Emeya.

The e-tron GT’s corrosion warranty is 4 years longer than the Emeya’s (12 vs. 8 years).

There are over 8 times as many Audi dealers as there are Lotus dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the e-tron GT’s warranty.

The S e-tron GT’s standard electric motors produces 67 more horsepower (670 vs. 603) than the Emeya’s standard electric motors. The RS e-tron GT performance’s standard electric motors produces 7 more horsepower (912 vs. 905) than the Emeya R’s standard electric motors.

The Audi e-tron GT may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 550 pounds less than the Lotus Emeya.

The S e-tron GT is 5.6 inches shorter than the Emeya, making the e-tron GT easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

The e-tron GT’s standard rear seats fold to accommodate long and bulky cargo. The Emeya 4-Passenger doesn’t offer folding rear seats.

A Service Interval Display is standard on the e-tron GT to save the owner time and money by calculating maintenance intervals for vehicle inspections, vehicle inspection based on odometer mileage. This takes the guesswork out of keeping your vehicle in top condition and helps it last longer. Lotus doesn’t offer a maintenance reminder on the Emeya.

Laser headlights, standard on the e-tron GT Prestige/RS, produce their light by firing blue lasers through phosphorus, a process that uses one-half the power of the Emeya’s LED headlights. Laser headlights can have double the range of LEDs with a much smaller surface area.

To shield the driver and front passenger’s vision over a larger portion of the windshield and side windows, the e-tron GT has standard extendable sun visors. The Emeya doesn’t offer extendable visors.
