The A6 e-tron’s pre-crash front seatbelts will tighten automatically in the event the vehicle detects an impending crash, improving protection against injury significantly. The Electrified G80 doesn’t offer pre-crash pretensioners.

The Audi A6 e-tron has standard driver and front passenger side knee airbags mounted low on the dashboard. These airbags help prevent the driver and front passenger from sliding under their seatbelts or the main frontal airbags; this keeps them better positioned during a collision for maximum protection. Knee airbags also help keep the legs from striking the dashboard, preventing knee and leg injuries in the case of a serious frontal collision. The Electrified G80 doesn’t offer a front passenger side knee airbag.

The A6 e-tron has a standard Secondary Collision Brake Assist, which automatically applies the brakes in the event of a crash to help prevent secondary collisions and prevent further injuries. The Electrified G80 doesn’t offer a post collision braking system: in the event of a collision that triggers the airbags, more collisions are possible without the protection of airbags that may have already deployed.

Earlier warning of stopped traffic, traffic signals, dangerous road conditions, weather, or accidents, can keep driver's safer and prevent crashes. The A6 e-tron has Car-to-X Services, a system that seamlessly communicates important warnings to the driver about impending danger, if they're available. The Electrified G80 doesn’t offer a system that can receive automated systems from infrastructure or other vehicles.

Both the A6 e-tron and the Electrified G80 have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front and rear side-impact airbags, driver knee airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, height adjustable front shoulder belts, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, rearview cameras, rear cross-path warning, driver alert monitors and available around view monitors.

The A6 e-tron’s corrosion warranty is 5 years longer than the Electrified G80’s (12 vs. 7 years).

There are over 41 percent more Audi dealers than there are Genesis dealers, which makes it easier should you ever need service under the A6 e-tron’s warranty.

From surveys of all its subscribers, Consumer Reports’ March 2025 Auto Issue reports that Audi vehicles are more reliable than Genesis vehicles. Consumer Reports ranks Audi 7 places higher in reliability than Genesis.

The A6 e-tron’s standard electric motor produces 10 more horsepower (375 vs. 365) than the Electrified G80’s electric motors. The A6 e-tron Quattro’s standard electric motors produces 91 more horsepower (456 vs. 365) and 115 lbs.-ft. more torque (631 vs. 516) than the Electrified G80’s electric motors.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the A6 e-tron has standard 20-inch wheels. The Electrified G80’s largest wheels are only 19-inches.

Changing a flat tire near traffic can be dangerous and inconvenient. The run-flat tires available on the A6 e-tron can be driven up to 50 miles without any air pressure, allowing you to drive to a service station for a repair. The Electrified G80 doesn’t offer run-flat tires.

The A6 e-tron Prestige has a standard automatic front and rear load leveling suspension to keep ride height level with a heavy load or when towing. The A6 e-tron’s height leveling suspension allows the driver to raise ride height for better off-road clearance and then lower it again for easier entering and exiting and better on-road handling. The Electrified G80 doesn’t offer a load leveling suspension.

The A6 e-tron is 3 inches shorter than the Electrified G80, making the A6 e-tron easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

The design of the Audi A6 e-tron amounts to more than styling. The A6 e-tron has an aerodynamic coefficient of drag of .23 Cd. That is lower than the Electrified G80 (.26) and many sports cars. A more efficient exterior helps keep the interior quieter and helps the A6 e-tron get better fuel mileage.

The front grille of the A6 e-tron uses electronically controlled shutters to close off airflow and reduce drag when less engine cooling is needed. This helps improve highway fuel economy. The Electrified G80 doesn’t offer active grille shutters.

Because it has more passenger and cargo room, the EPA rates the A6 e-tron a Large car, while the Electrified G80 is rated a Mid-size.

The A6 e-tron has 1 inch more rear headroom and .2 inches more rear shoulder room than the Electrified G80.

The A6 e-tron’s standard rear seats fold to accommodate long and bulky cargo. The Electrified G80 doesn’t offer folding rear seats, only a ski pass-through.

In poor weather, headlights can lose their effectiveness as grime builds up on their lenses. This can reduce visibility without the driver realizing. The A6 e-tron Premium Plus/Prestige has standard headlight washers to keep headlight output high. The Electrified G80 doesn’t offer headlight washers.

To help drivers see further while navigating curves, the A6 e-tron has standard adaptive headlights to illuminate around corners automatically by reading vehicle speed and steering wheel angle. The Electrified G80 doesn’t offer cornering lights.

The A6 e-tron is available in both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations. The Electrified G80 doesn’t offer a two-wheel drive configuration.
